I recall the wank here a couple months ago and it looks like Hilarie has the same illusions about her acting skills that her fans do lol. If they try to get Hilarie back again this year but she once again asks for too much money than they can afford what do you think they might do. I want to see Lucas and Brooke share one more scene but if Hilarie doesn't return then maybe they won't bring Chad back either.
Well, I think you don’t recall my *answers* to all that wanking too well. I LOVE Hil. And ftr, Sophia Bush seems to think just as highly of herself since she’s also asking for consideration as outstanding lead actress. For One Tree Hill season 8?!?! I dk what’s outstanding about being yourself on camera basically. But, I digress. It’s not just the actor who chooses to do that- sometimes the actor’s agent makes that choice.
As for the whole money thing, you have sources mixed up. Hilarie did NOT leave because of money issues. Neither did Chad. Not when it was all said and done. Watch Hil’s video where she says she’s not coming back again. It was creative differences. And moreover, it wasn’t even HER creative differences. It was Chad’s. And since Chad was arguing about his character’s direction, they decided to just write both of them out.
I have qualms with Hil’s acting— I think anyone who loves a good scene, where it feels like it can transform you, should have issues with her ability. I haven’t seen her in White Collar though. I’m told she’s better in it. That being said though, it IS NOT her fault that LP aren’t on OTH. She didn’t make the decision. She was, for all intents and purposes, fired. And I don’t blame her for being “too busy” to come back now. They really hurt her. She was pretty much devastated. And then to have EVERY cast member (except Joy) and Mark saying at the beginning of season seven that set was better without C/H had to hurt even more. If I were her, I wouldn’t be open to it at all.
As for the last line of your wanky question, no. I don’t think they’ll bring one back without the other. And I don’t even know if Chad is truly open to coming back. He had serious issues (a lot of which I agree with) that they refused to address because they had to make a choice. And in a show built around HIS character, they chose someone that wasn’t his character.
That being said, I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, I’ll only watch if they come back. If not, the last episode I’ve watched will continue to be Lydia’s funeral. I jumped ship then and it feels SO good. :)
That show is a trainwreck and I’m not sure why I even held on as long as I did.
